Not just for the Ladies..

Taking a nice hot bath with sea salts, essential oils, and even flowers, can definitely help to relax one's body, mind, and spirit. Life can sometimes get rather overwhelming, especially if you're not taking the proper care of your self. I've learned over the years that its incredibly important to "love the skin you're in" because its the only one you get! Self care is something that we should all be doing Everyday!
This soothing bath recipe is something that you can do for yourself or for a loved one. Its easy to create and the cost is super cheap!
Epsom salt, Sea salts or Himalayan pink salt
Dried flowers (can use dried rose petals from last week's holiday)
Candles, flowers, crystals, music - for ambiance
Books, journal, affirmation cards, or similar..
a few joints or bowl with plenty of Cannabis at the ready
large glass of water or tea
snacks - fresh fruit
Ok, now to put it all together..
First, run the bath, make sure its the right temperature for you. I like to make it just a teensy bit hotter because I will be soaking in the tub for a while.
Once you've got your bath running at the right temp, start to add in the salts. I love using epsom salt, it really soothes my muscles after a long week! Add your desired amount of epsom salt and or other sea salts etc. to the bath as its starting to fill, the running water will help to dissolve some of the salt crystals before you step in. If you still have them from last week, go ahead and add a few of those rose petals into your bath. The water will revive them a little and release more of the sensuous rose aromas.
You can add crystals to the side of the tub before the bath and be sure you only select the ones that are "water safe." Crystals like selenite will dissolve in water, so be careful! I generally stick with rose quartz, smokey quartz, and clear quartz.
Have you seen those bath shelves? I don't have one yet, (I know!!!) so I use a small table and sit that next to the tub for my books, journal and joints.
Now I realize that this may sound a little "different" for relaxation, so please be sure that you surround yourself with the things that give YOU pleasure, be that a good book and a glass of wine, or just zenning out with fat blunt, this time is for you!
Once fully soaked and pruny, be sure you drain all the water and rinse all the salts from your skin in the shower. This is actually a great time to exfoliate your entire body. After your home spa treatment, you'll want to seal all this moisture in with some body oils or lotion.
