When we first started smoking we only had a quaint corner in our bedroom with a window and a few ivy plants, but it was our little safe haven, a place we could escape and enjoy nature’s gift of cannabis. Later this grew into having more special little trinkets because when we smoked, we were setting intentions for positive results. This small space, nothing more than a corner window and a little love, later became our Smoking Sanctuary. Creating a pleasant little space in which to smoke and relax isn’t difficult, in fact it can be easily broken up into 3 simple steps!

  • Storage: There are smoking utensils a plenty, with gadgets and papers galore, but to store them all? Thats a true art, and organization is the key to keeping your stash box stocked and ready for your next sesh! Opt for something that matches your style and has ample storage space. Ottomans that have a flip top tray lid serve as an excellent rolling station, or dab tray and when not in use, you can easily store your rig or pipes inside for safe keeping. We love storage ottomans for this exact reason, they’re discreet, hide all the goods, and they come in so many different styles you’re sure to find one that fit just right! This also helps to keep your stash out of reach of prying eyes and curious fingers.

  • Comfort: What feels good to you? Invest in cushions, pillows, blankets, rugs, and what ever else you need to make your smoking experience pleasurable. Big cushy floor cushions with intricate hemp rope weaving, and flat-woven rugs with pretty designs and colors are our favorites for our sacred space. Textures, colors, and especially music go a long way to further gratify your senses. House plants such as Sansevieria Trifasciata 'Laurentii or Mother-in-Law’s Tongue, Chlorophytum Comosum 'Vittatum or Spider plant, and Dracaena Fragrans 'Massangeana or Corn plant are some of the Best plants to help purify the air in your home. Plants’ natural photosynthesis will create an inviting place of leisure. Having a few plants and a well ventilated area to smoke, ensures you’re inhaling oxygen as well as THC. Remember breath is the beginning of life.

  • Ambiance: This is where you can really add your own personal style to your smoking sanctuary. We love nature, especially the ocean and beach life themed decor in our home. Several seashell ashtrays, pipes and lots of tropical colors and textures in which to have stony textile sensations adorn our humble abode. You can add incense or candles, you could even add a portable speaker or an ice chest for munchies and the beverages that quench your thirst the best. Art that is thought provoking or a conversation starter will serve you well, especially if you have your fellow stoners over for a smoke sesh. The sky is truly the limit in this arena and your imagination is the catalyst.
